Former Disney studio Avalanche Software re-opens under Warner Bros.

Avalanche Software, once known as Disney’s game development business, has re-emerged in the gaming industry. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that the Salt Lake City, Utah-based studio has been re-established under the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment banner, following its closure in May of last year. However, even though it is now under the Warner Bros. banner, Avalanche Software has much of the same development team and leadership that it had when it was under the Disney cover.

Avalanche Software

Background

Avalanche Software first up on the scene in 1996. The studio was bought by Disney in 2002, and it became a branch of theirDisney Interactive Studiosbrand as a result of the acquisition. Following the closure of Disney Interactive Studios in May 2016, Avalanche was put into hibernation for nearly ten months before being resurrected by Warner Bros., which transformed the studio into a division of Warner Bros.

Interactive Entertainment dedicated to releasing products based on Disney franchises such as Cars.

1st Logo (December 13, 1996-November 12, 2000)

“Avalanche Mountain” and “Paramount’s Cousin” are some of the nicknames for this mountain. Logo: A white hemisphere is supported up by two circular cones on a black backdrop in this illustration. “AVALANCHESOFTWARE” is written in white letters below the logo, with the word “SOFTWARE” written in spaced-out letters under the word ” AVALANCHE “. Variants:

  • OnMortal Kombat Trilogy and the National Hockey League Open Ice According to the PlayStation, the pinkish – graycolored logo, which is formed out of marble, tumbles towards the camera and rests on the marble backdrop, so providing the front faces with their usual hues

The camera pans down to reveal the Avalanche Software logo (this time, the letters “SOFTWARE” are colored purple) laying on the ground. The second ” A ” letter is highlighted by a gleaming sheen. The camera movement and the sheen are both special effects. A loud whoosh may be heard in the background. It can be found in the gamePrince of Persia 3D for the Dreamcast. Note from the editor:None.

3rd Logo (NCAA College Football 2K2variant) (August 28, 2001)
